Description
of Abacus
Amal Level
 Introduces the value of beads in the abacus
from 1 till 99
 Teach proper finger movements and proper
way of using the abacus
Coloring, tracing and comparing the
illustrations of abacus beads and pictures.
 Teaching simpler calculations using abacus.
 Simple brain gym exercises
 This level is required for the kids of age 7
and below.

It comprises of four levels
 Foundation 1
 Foundation 2
 Foundation 3
 Foundation 4
Foundation 1
 This is the basic level of Abacus Program.
 The kids above seven years old start on this level.
 Initially we introduce the abacus (the way to hold and use
the abacus with proper finger movements).
 Introducing different concepts that serves as the base of
the Abacus Program
 Small Friend Addition Concept
 Small Friend Subtraction Concept
 Big Friend Addition Concept
 Big Friend Subtraction Concept
 Shoot the Bird Concept (combination)
 Shoot the Fish Concept (combination)
Foundation 2
 Provide more practice for addition and
subtraction using all the concepts
introduced in Foundation 1.
 Introduce the concept of Visualization
based on all the concepts of addition and
subtraction covered earlier.
 Visualization of single and two-digit
numbers.
Foundation 3
 Provide more practice on Addition and subtraction for
both Abacus and Visualization method.

 Introduce the basic concepts of Multiplication using


Abacus in 3A Book. (2 digit into 1 digit)

 Introduce the visualization concept for basic


Multiplication in 3B Book. (2 digit into 1)

 Introduce the basic concept of Division using abacus


(2 digit by 1 digit)

 Foundation 4A - Addition and Subtraction with more
number of rows using Both Abacus and Visualization
Method.
 Abacus – 2 digits 8 rows
 Visualization - starts with 2 digits 4 rows and ends
with 2 digits 5 rows
 Foundation 4B - Multiplication using visualization
with 2 digit into 1.
 Basic concept of division with abacus (3 digit by 1)
Advanced Level
It comprises of four levels

 It includes simple to complex calculations involving longer
durations of visualization.
 Calculation with abacus includes addition and subtraction
of 2-digit 8-row numbers.
 Introduces Addition and subtraction of 3-digit numbers with
abacus.
 Introduces basic concept of decimal addition and
subtraction with abacus
 Starts with the visualization concept for division.
 Starts with 3-digit into 1-digit multiplication with Abacus.
 Basic concept of BODMAS
Advance 2
 Calculation with Abacus includes Addition and Subtraction
of 2-digit and 3-digit with more number of rows.
 Advanced Addition and Subtraction of Decimal sums
 Starts with visualization of multiplication for 3 into 1 digit
and 1 into 3 digit.
 Starts with Division of 4-digit by 1-digit numbers.
 More Practice for BODMAS.
 Introduces Multiplication and Division of decimal numbers.

 From simple to advanced calculation of decimal sums.
 Practice for 2-digit numbers with more rows using
visualization.
 Introduces decimal addition and subtraction visualization.

 More practice for 3-digit into 1-digit multiplication and
division of 4-digit by 1-digit visualization.
 Teach new concepts of multiplication (4-digit into 1-digit
and 2-digit into 2-digit).
 Introduce new concept of division (4-digit by 2-digit, 3-digit

 Also Mental arithmetic problems include advanced
decimal addition, subtraction, multiplication and
division.
