Aims :
1. To read and know the meanings of nouns
related to nature used in the poem
2. To recite the poem with props
 Materials

• Face masks of two sheep, two cows,

squirrels, nuts, a sun, a stream,
• a picture of night sky
• a picture of a branch,
• a pretty face (a girl),
• the persona,
• the voice reciting the poem.
 Steps
1. Distribute face masks to the volunteers.
2. The teacher gets a student to role play “Beauty”.
3. The teacher demonstrates how the role play should be
carried out.
4. Select 7 students to recite the poem. Each student will
recite a stanza.
5. As they recite the poem, the actors put on their masks
and start acting out their roles.
6. The teacher elicits students’ responses by asking them
what they have seen from the role play, e.g. a tree, etc.
7. The teacher writes students’ responses on the board,
then tells them that those words they have mentioned
are NOUNS related to NATURE.
