The need for monitoring the indoor is to safeguard human lives in order to prevent them from the unexpected calamities. The basic parameters like humidity, temperature, air quality, water level and human activities are measured and monitored. A system has been proposed to monitor indoor parameters anytime from anywhere in the world and efficiently utilize power. Blynk app has been used to read data from sensors located in home environment and user monitors and maintain indoor parameters based on these data. EXISTING SYSTEM
At present indoor parameters are
measured separately using separate sensors and Arduino. It really becomes complex and needs separate powers to function. It is also difficult to collect data from the separate monitoring system. Also, the cost of the system was high. COMPONENTS USED NodeMCU-development board for ESP8266 a 32bitmicro controller with wifi
PIR SENSOR-A passive infrared sensor used
as a motion detectors. Require a line of sight.
DHT11- Temperature and humidity sensor uses a
capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor MQ SENSOR-A gas sensor uses a small heater inside with an electro-chemical sensor.
ULTRASONIC SENSOR-determines the
distance to a target by measuring time lapses between the sending and receiving of the ultrasonic pulse. BLOCK DIAGRAM WORKING The proposed system allows the user to monitor the indoor parameters of his home remotely anytime from anywhere by using mobile phones by reading sensor data in his mobile application. power supply of 5V is used as the power source for nodeMCU, sensor-modules. Being powered up, nodeMCU searches for the preset SSID and connects automatically to the Internet. Sensor-modules send the variable data about ambient conditions to the nodeMCU. The user gets these data in his mobile application via internet server and then monitors the parameters. SYSTEM DESIGN The designing methodology of the system has two major portions: software design and hardware design. The hardware is designed by arranging microcontroller, sensors and actuators whereas software design includes programming that is written and uploaded in the microcontroller. CONNECTION DIAGRAM OUTPUT ADVANTAGE Friendly user interface with changes according to environmental. High scalability. More sensors and more data, better sensors better control. It make the data available to common man. Sensors have long life and less cost. It produces low maintenance cost. It is reliable. CONCLUSION The indoor parameters monitoring using IOT has been experimentally proven to work satisfactorily by monitoring the values of humidity ,temperature, water level, air quality, human activities successfully. It also stores the sensor parameters in the timely manner. This will help the user to analyze the conditions of various parameters in the indoor anytime anywhere. Then control or maintain the parameters of indoor properly. In the future, we shall achieve the automation application by using artificial intelligence. For more efficiency, neural networks are used to make indoor as a totally AI controlled system. REFERENCES 1.
