Descriptive PARAGRAPH

A Single Idea = A Topic Sentence

A Topic Sentence
Topic Sentence:
1. “The sentence containing the TOPIC and CONTROLLING IDEA”
2. A TOPIC is a subject matter discussed.
3. A CONTROLLING IDEA is an attitude, opinion, or idea about the
topic”
Coherence = related one
sentence to others
EXAMPLE:
MY MOTHER IS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. SHE IS NOT TALL BUT NOT
SHORT, AND SHE HAS CURLY HAIR AND BROWN. HER EYES
COLOR ARE LIKE HONEY AND HER COLOR SKIN COLOR LIGHT
BROWN, AND SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL SMILE.
A TOPIC SENTENCE:
‘What exactly am I saying about my topic?
