WHAT IS A PARAGRAPH?

A paragraph is a group
of sentences that fleshes
out a single idea.
Nova is a very beautiful girl.

 She has a very sweet smile.  She has a very sweet smile.
 Her father is very charismatic.  The color of her teeth is very
bright/
 She always gets in touch with me.
 She has a dimple on her cheek.
 The color of her car is very bright/
 She has a sharp nose.
 Her father’s farming field is very
large.
 She has a sharp nose.
Descriptive PARAGRAPH
MY MOTHER IS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. (5W1H WHY OR HOW)

My mother is a beautiful woman. she is not tall but not short,

and she has curly hair and brown. her eyes color are like
honey and her color skin color light brown, and she has a
beautiful smile. she is a very kind person. she is very lovely,
friendly, patient, and she loves to help people. i love my mom,
because she is a good example to me. she loves being in the
church, and she loves sing and dance too. she is a very good
child, wife and mother. she always takes care of her
family. she likes her house to be clean and organized. she a
very organized person and all things in the house are in the
right place. she doesn't like messes. (DESCRIPTION)

 Kesepian pantai menyajikan kedamaian bagiku . Di pantai,

saya tidak punya teman, kecuali pantai itu sendiri. Saya
dapat berbicara dan berfikir secara tenang dan penuh
kesenangan. Tak ada satupun yang dapat mengganggu
saya, kecuali pantai itu sendiri yang setia mendengarkan
ocehan saya. Disamping itu, pantai adalah tempat yang
tenang untuk melakukan meditasi. Setiap saat saya bingung,
saya selalu menyempatkan pergi ke pantai sendirian dan
berupaya menemukan tempat terbaik untuk mencari solusi
atas konflik yang ada.

The Concept about a paragraph:

A paragraph is a group
of sentences that fleshes

A Single Idea = A Topic Sentence

MY MOTHER IS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN.

A Topic Sentence

 Topic Sentence:
1. “The sentence containing the TOPIC and CONTROLLING IDEA”
2. A TOPIC is a subject matter discussed.
3. A CONTROLLING IDEA is an attitude, opinion, or idea about the
topic”
 Coherence = related one
sentence to others

EXAMPLE:
MY MOTHER IS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. SHE IS NOT TALL BUT NOT
SHORT, AND SHE HAS CURLY HAIR AND BROWN. HER EYES
COLOR ARE LIKE HONEY AND HER COLOR SKIN COLOR LIGHT
BROWN, AND SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL SMILE.
A TOPIC SENTENCE:
‘What exactly am I saying about my topic?

 Itconsists of a TOPIC and CONTROLLING
