Introduction
• The supernatural is defined as events or
things that cannot be explained by
nature or science.
• Assumed to come from beyond or to
originate from otherworldly forces.
• Ghosts and witches are an example of
the supernatural.
What is supernaturalism?
• Supernatural comes from the Latin word
supernaturalis, meaning beyond nature.
• The adjective form of supernatural describes
anything that pertains to or is caused by
something that can't be explained by the laws of
nature.
• Behavior supposedly caused by the intervention
of supernatural beings.
• Direct influence or action of a
deity on earthly affairs.
Some Examples of supernaturalism
• Immaterial beings such
as angels, gods and spirits.
• Claimed human abilities
like magic, telekinesis and extrasensory
perception.
• Monsters as we have seen in fiction of marvel
and DC universe.
Conflict between naturalism and super-
naturalism?
• Naturalism proposes that nature (time, space, matter
and energy, subject to certain laws of nature describing
their behaviour) is all that exists.

• Supernaturalism proposes that there is more, that

something, not subject to the laws of nature, but
above it (hence the “super”), actually causes the laws
of nature.
Belief
• The word supernatural is used for things that
some people believe are real, but that are not
part of nature. Because we
cannot prove whether these things are real,
people often disagree about these things.
• Belief is also something you believe in but you
cannot prove exactly.
Story
Whether it exist or not?
• Supernatural occurrences cannot be explained by
science ..yet!
• I personally believe that the technology to prove
the existence of ghosts, etc. to the rest of the
world, is yet to be discovered.
• Unfortunately, the thousands of documented
sightings do not prove anything to the
unbelievers. They still mock us because the
supernatural cannot be replicated, or
commanded to happen.
Conclusion
• We believe supernatural exist ,but not in the
form we think they exist in.
• It is just an energy that we not yet can detect
by our “naked sense”.
• Some believe and some do not believe in
religion, but those are formed on a base belief
in the supernatural.
