 Conclusion
 In the present days Automated systems have less manual
operations, high flexibility, and accuracy.

 Especially in the field of electronics automated systems

are giving good performance.
 Our project is to control the switching of Street Lights
automatically.
 IR’s which detects the vehicle with the micro controller
are used.
 IC CA3140 – 1
 Resistor R1 (10 K) – 1
 Resistor R2 (3300 E) – 1
 Resistor R3 (1 K) – 1
 Variable Resistor VR1 (10 K) – 1
 Capacitor C1 (10uF) – 1

 Microcontroller
 IR Sensor
(1) LDR:
 Sensitivity depends on
intensity of light.
 Resistance of LDR
decrease with
increase in intensity of
light and vice-versa.
RESISTOR:
 It is a passive component having two terminals that are used to
manage the current flow in the circuit.

 A current that flows via a resistor is directly proportional to the

voltage that appeared into resistor.

 Two types:
(1) Fixed value of resistor
(2) Variable resistor
 Infrared sensor is an electronic instrument.

 It
is used to sense certain characteristics in it’s
surroundings by emitting infrared radiations.

 It
is capable of measuring heat and detection
of moving object.
 An LDR offers the resistance in response to the ambient
light.

 The resistance of the LDR increases as the intensity of

light increases.

 It can act as a sensor, since a varying voltage drop can

be obtained in accordance with the varying light.
A light emitting diode(LED) is a semiconductor
light source.

 LED’Sare used as indicator lamps in many

devices, and are increasingly used for lightning.

 LED’S
are introduced as a practical electronic
component in 1962.
 Theworking of the project can be clearly explained by
considering the street lights.

 The main aim of the project is to automatic switch ON/OFF

the street light by sensing the vehicle.

 In this project IR’s are used for sensing the vehicles.

 Initially the street lights are in OFF state by using the LDR’S.
Can overcome the crisis of natural power
production resources in forth coming days.

Can reduce the wastage of electricity.

Ultimatelycan converse some of the natural

resources from completely getting vanished.
I would like to express my special
thanks of gratitude to my teacher
as well as our principal ,who gave
me the golden opportunity to do
this wonderful project .
