people

EXISITING MODEL
DISADVANTAGE

• There is no suitable driving mechanism


• Difficult to operate
INTRODUCTION

• Now a day’s vehicles have become an entity of


day to day life.
• Though there are some vehicles and add-ons in
market for physical challenged people but none of
it is suitable for Armless people.
• What can we do? Is it possible to control the
vehicle without arms.
OUR IDEA

• Here we are going to use steering mechanism


which can be controlled by legs.

• The braking and acceleration can be controlled


by hinged joints type pedals.

• Extra set of rear wheels are to be added for


balancing purpose.
CONSTRUCTION

• Slider is placed at the front boot space.(left side)

• Mechanism to convert the sliding motion to angular


motion is placed below front chasis.

• Two pedals are provided to control the acceleration and


braking system in the front boot space.(right side)

• Extra set of rear wheels are provided to balance the


vehicle. Accelerator and braking cables are connected to
the hinged point mechanism.
WORKING

• Slider is moved to and fro .

• Slider motion is converted into angular motion.

• As a result the front wheel can be tilted right and


left from the centre axis.

• When pedal is pressed the hinged point will lift


the corresponding lever so that cable is drawn as
a result the acceleration / braking is controlled.

OBJECTIVE

The primary objectives of this proposed project are,

• Design and fabrication of control mechanism of


vehicle for armless people.

• Installation of mechanism on the vehicle and


experimentation.

FUTURE APPLICATION

• In the future, this mechanism can be used as an


add-on to be attached to the vehicles, so that the
arm less people can drive the vehicle with ease.
