Music of the University of the Philippines, Diliman, where he
retired as a full professor in 1978
he later received the title Professor Emeritus from the University in 1979
he also became a faculty member of the Centro Escolar University
Conservatory of Music in Manila
Lucio San Pedro
Isa sa bantog na obra ni San Pedro ay ang “Sa Ugoy ng Duyan” noong 1943. Orihinal na nilikha
para sa isang paligsahan, ang inspirasyon ay nagmula sa oyayi ng kaniyang ina noong siyá ay batà
pa. Ipinagawa niyá kay Levi Celerio ang lirika nang magkita ang dalawa sa barko.

Catalino Ortiz Brocka
 a Filipino film director who is regarded as one
of the most influential and significant Filipino
filmmakers in the history of Philippine cinema.
 he founded the organization Concerned Artists
of the Philippines (CAP), dedicated to helping
artists address issues confronting the country
in 1983
 he directed landmark films such as Tinimbang
Ka Ngunit Kulang (1974), Maynila sa mga Kuko
ng Liwanag (1975), Insiang (1976), Bayan Ko:
Kapit sa Patalim (1984), and Orapronobis
(1989)
CATALINO ORTIZ BROCKA
After his death in a car accident in 1991, he was posthumously given the
National Artist of the Philippines for Film award for "having made significant
contributions to the development of Philippine arts." In 1974, Brocka directed
Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang ("You Have Been Weighed and Found Wanting"),
which told the story of a teenager growing up in a small town amid its petty and
gross injustices. It was a box-office success, and earned Brocka another best-
director award, this time from the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences
(FAMAS).
