Mr. Santillan, first planned carefully and
thoroughly. He evaluated every aspect or problems that are possible to be a threat to his business. He saw some children and students alike that needs a computer to accomplish their given tasks or just for recreational activities. This gave him an idea to start a computer services that would meet the needs and the demands of the people in his community. 2. What special skills and characteristics do you have that are related with your business or job?
Mr. Santillan is a computer enthusiast since his
childhood before he became an entrepreneur. He entered an Electronics vocational course that improved his skills to fix and operate on appliances that he would sell or use at his home. He became a skilled technician that gradually helped him to also operate on computers. Until he was often called by his peers to fix their computers throughout the community in Bañadero. 3. How did you solve business-related problems during the early years of your business operation?
According to Mr. Santillan, he experienced
difficulties regarding the connection of the internet. He struggled to have a better and faster connection. This would later on affect the gamers of his computer shop. He decided to start on 1 unit of computer until he's able to afford a faster connection that will aid the upcoming new set of computers. 4. Did you follow the tips from a successful businessman or practitioner before you engaged in you business?
Mr. Santillan was influenced by his friends
to start a business. He managed to learn everything he encountered during his early years in his career. He started as a technician but then decided to engage on starting his own business. He is hesitant at first, knowing that his business may fail but then he faced his fears that would later on result of having a successful and profitable business. 5. What best business practices can you share with aspiring entrepreneurs?
According to Mr. Santillan, you should first learn to
be wise and willing to take the risk before starting a business. Planning carefully ahead is necessary to avoid regret and bankruptcy of your business. You should start a business that is related to your skills and abilities. Like Mr. Santillan, he developed his skills by fixing and handling all sorts of appliances. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses will help you reflect and evaluate what other skills you still need to work on. 6. What do you think are the salient characteristics, attributes, lifestyle, skills and traits that made you successful in your business or job?
According to Mr. Santillan, it is important
that you should possess people skills. Communication will help you to promote your business. You should learn to deal and relate well with people to form a bond. This will invite others to use the services of your business and will create a positive feedback. You should be kind and compassionate to other people. This kind of impression will mark the hearts and minds of the people you've encountered. Creating a good first impression and a warming expression will keep your customers from coming back to your computer shop. You will gain their trust in doing so. Being able to join your customers while playing computer games, is another way to form a bond. This will help them get comfortable with you.
