ABSTRACT:
 The primary objective of the project is to design a feasible and highly
adaptable E-bike.
 The aim of this study is to investigate how to design a simple, cost
effective model of electric vehicle with intelligent control system.
 As the number of motor vehicles on the roads throughout the world
increases at staggering rate each year, the dependence on fuel grows almost
unexpexted.
 The increased use of non-renewable fossil fuels causes environmental
problems such as the greenhouse effect, health problems and concern over
the stability of fuel supply.
To move away from this dependence on oil, a vast amount of money is
being spent on the development of electrical vehicles.
An Electric bike or scootor is a battery operated vehicle that is very
economical with low maintainance cost ,zero pollution and reduced noise .
Electric two wheelers use the electrical technology of rechargeable
battery that converts the electrical energy into mechanical energy.
Components:
Vehicle
Motor
Batteries
\
PMDC Brushed Electric Motor
 Lead Acid Batteries
Controller
Charger
 It differs from conventional dc motor in such that
it doesn’t contains brushes and the commutation is
done using electrically, using a electronic drive to
feed the stator windings.
It has Better speed versus torque characteristics ,High
dynamic response,High efficiency,Long operating life
due to a lack of electrical and friction losses,Noiseless
operation,Higher speed ranges.
Charging:
Charging time is limited primarily by the capacity
of the grid connection
Most batteries do not accept charge at greater than
their charge rate because high charge rate has
adverse effect on the discharge capacities of
batteries
The charging power can be connected to the
vehicle in two ways:
1. Conductive coupling
2. Inductive charging
Advantages:
1. No gas required
2. Savings
3. No emissions
4. Popularity
5. Safe to drive
6. Low maintenance
7. Reduced noise pollution
Disadvantages:
1. Short driving range and speed
2. Longer recharge time
3. Battery replacements
Future scope:
1. Battery costs are dropping fast
2. Longer range affordable electric vehicles are
coming
3. More charging stations are coming
4. Auto industries is embracing Evs
Conclusion:
The progress that the electric vehicle industry has
seen in recent years is not only extremely welcomed,
but highly necessary in light of the increasing global
greenhouse gas levels. As demonstrated within the
economic, social, and environmental analysis sections
of this webpage, the benefits of electric vehicles far
surpass the costs. The biggest obstacle to the
widespread adoption of electric-powered
transportation is cost related, as gasoline and the
vehicles that run on it are readily available,
convenient, and less costly
.
