UPSR ENGLISH PAPER 2

SECTION A
SENTENCE CONSTRUCTION
 In this section of the UPSR paper 2 , one picture and ten words are given
to test your proficiency in writing with the correct usage of grammar
and spelling.

 The picture can be a scene or an event.

 Read the instructions and study the picture carefully.

 You must construct five sentences from the picture.

 Make sure your sentences are related to the picture.

 Write sentences about what you can see in the picture .

USEFUL TIPS FOR QUESTION 1

 Think or start with simple sentences first and then add in


adverbs or adjectives to make compound or complex sentences.
 Use continuous tense.
 Plan and decide what to write for each sentence so that there is no
repetition of ideas.
 Use a variety of sentence patterns.
 Always check your answers :

correct.
• There should be a smooth flow of ideas from one sentence or
paragraph to the next.
• Only use words which you are sure of. Make sure of the spelling and
use them in the correct context.
