BACK BONE OF HABITAT CENTRE.0
• IT IS NOT ONLY PROVIDES AN IMPROVED WORKING ENVIRONMENT TO ITS
EMPLOYEES BUT ALSO CONTRIBUTE TO THE URBAN LEVEL FUNCTIONS

CANNOT BE NEGOTIATED.

INTRODUCTION

• FOOD HUB IS A CENTRALLY LOCATED FACILITY WITH A BUSINESS


MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE FACILITATING THE STORAGE,
PROCESSING, DISTRIBUTION, AND/OR MARKETING OF
LOCALLY/REGIONALLY PRODUCED FOOD PRODUCTS.
• RATHER THAN CREATING THE SO CALLED “MALL” LIKE SPACES, AIM TO
FORM MORE INCLUSIVE STREET SPACES LIKE BAZAARS AND PUBLIC
MARKETPLACES.
NEED AND IMPORTANCE OF PROJECT
• FOOD HUBS ARE RISING AT EVERY URBAN SPACES TO QUENCH THE
CRAVING FOR FOOD IN THE SOCIETY THIS PLACES OFFERS A PUBLIC
INTERACTION SPACES WHERE PEOPLE CAN HAVE DIFFERENT KIND OF
FOOD AT A SAME PLACES IN THE CITY CULTURE FOOD IS A MAJOR
ISSUE, PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO MOST LIKELY FOOD

• THE PROJECT AIMS TO PROPOSE A SOCIO-CULTURAL HUB CENTERED
AROUND FOOD.
• THE GOAL IS TO GIVE A NEW IDENTITY OF PLACE WITH GIVING

PROJECT BECAUSE OF TWO REASONS-
• FIRSTLY IT IS VISUALLY AND PHYSICALLY WELL CONNECTED TO THE
CITY.
• SECOND REASONS WAS BECAUSE OF ITS PRE-EXISTING RELATIONSHIP
OF FOOD BAZAAR.
ARCHITECTURE THAT PROVIDES A PLACE IN THE CITY FOR PEOPLE TO
TAKE PART IN DELHI'S MULTI-FACETED FOOD CULTURE, AND ENGAGE IN
THE KIND OF DYNAMIC URBAN LIFE
ALONG WITH THE ARCHITECTURE ACCEPT THE PROJECT ALSO HAVE A
SCOPE OF UNDERSTANDING A VARIOUS CALCULATION REGARDING
WASTAGE AND WATER MANAGEMENT
