 One cabinet can accommodate a maximum of 4 standard 19-

inch frames.

 19 inches wide and 9U high.


 Accommodates both front and back boards. All cables are led
out from the rear of the frame.
 21 standard board slots.
 Front boards
 service boards: FCCU/FCSU,BSGI,MSGI,IFMI

 Back boards are interface boards : BFII,SIUI,HSCI ( fixed slot)
 Power boards can be installed either at the front or at the back.
 A fan box is installed at the bottom of each service frame.
 Has temperature detection and fan speed adjustment functions.

 When the number of IFMIs is greater than 2 or the number of
CDBIs is greater than 2, a basic frame 1 is required.

Board configuration principle of basic frame
 SMUI, SIUI, HSCI, ALUI, and UPWR must be configured in the fixed
slots.

 IFMI, BFII and CDBI must be configured.

 IFMI and BFII must be configured in pairs and inserted in the same
slots at the front and back.

 FCSU, BSGI and MSGI, are configured when providing narrowband


signaling interfaces.

 For FCCU/FCSU/BSGI/MSGI compatible slots (2 ~ 5 and 12 ~ 15), it


is recommended to configure FCCU/FCSU from left to right and
BSGI/MSGI from right to left.

resource frame
 SMUI, SIUI, HSCI, ALUI, and UPWR must be configured in the
fixed slots.

 MRCA and MRIA are configured in pairs and must be


configured at the same slot numbers.

 A maximum of 12 MRCAs and 12 MRIAs can be configured in


one frame.

 It is recommended to configure MRCAs in available slots from


both sides of the frame inwards.

together with the back board SIUI in pairs.
 Perform loading and managing system program and data. Work in
active/standby mode.

 SIUI:
 Back-insert interface board for SMUI, installed in back slots 6&8.
 Provide the SMUI with Ethernet interface, in active/standby mode.

 HSCI:
 Back board, installed in the back slots 7&9, having 6 FE ,working
in active/standby mode
 Bridge between left and right shared resource buses, perform

Note: When the BHCA of the system is less than 400k or the number of equivalent

Boards in signaling processing module

 BSGI:
 Process the IP packets after the IFMI level-1 dispatch, implement
processing of such protocols as UDP, SCTP, M2UA, M3UA, V5UA,
IUA, MGCP and H.248, and perform level-2 dispatch of such
messages to the FCCU or FCSU for transaction layer or service
layer processing. Work in load sharing mode.

 MSGI:
 Process such protocols as UDP, TCP, H.323 (including H.323
RAS and H.323 Call Signaling) and SIP. Work in active/standby
mode.

 Implement processing of call control and protocols, such as MTP3,

 CDBI:
 As the core database of the equipment, the CDBI stores all data
regarding call location, gateway resources management and
outgoing trunk circuit selection. Work in active/standby mode.

Boards in media resource frame

 MRCA:

 Front board in the resource expansion frame and used with the

back board MRIA in pairs. Process the audio signals in real time,

collect and generate DTMF signals, play and record audio clips,

and provide multi-party conference function. Work in load sharing

mode.

 MRIA:

 Board of the MRCA and provide two 10/100-Mbps interface for

the external media streams.

Meanings of indicators on the front panel

Indicator Meaning Status description

When the indicator lights, it indicates that the

Flashing period for loading program: 0.25 second
Flashing period for normal running of the active

RUN board: 2 seconds

Flashing period for normal running of the standby
board: 4 seconds
When the board is plugged into a frame, if the
blue indicator lights, it means that the board has
contacted the backplane and the ejector lever on
Plug-in the front panel can be pressed down to make the
OFFLINE
indicator board fully inserted into the backplane.
While pulling the board out, pull the ejector lever
on the front panel. When the blue indicator lights,
it is allowed to pull the board out.
