TOWS MATRIX

It is a tool which is used to generate,


compare and select strategies.
It is NOT THE SAME to SWOT analysis
There is a trade – off between internal
and external factors.
The four TOWS strategies are
Strength/Opportunity (SO),
Weakness/Opportunity (WO),
Strength/Threat (ST) and
Weakness/Threat (WT).
INTERNAL EXTERNAL MATRIX

It is another strategic management tool


used to analyze working conditions
and strategic position of a business.
It is based on an analysis of internal and
external business factors which are
combined in one suggestive model.

GRAND STRATEGY MATRIX

It is the instrument for creating


alternative and different strategies for
the organization.
All companies and divisions can be
positioned in one of the Grand
Strategy Matrix’s four strategy
quadrants.

It is based on two dimensions :


competitive position and market
growth.
QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX

It is a high level strategic management


approach for evaluating possible
strategies.
It provides analytical method for
comparing feasible alternative actions.
It falls within the so-called stage 3 of the
strategy formulation analytical
framework.
