5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the
coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. 1 King 17: 1. And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. Mathew 17:10
10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then
say the scribes that Elias must first come?
11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias
truly shall first come, and restore all things. 65-0718E - Spiritual Food In Due Season
14 This prophet, Elijah, we know very little about
him. But we know that he was God's servant, and the servant of God for that hour. 15 And God has used His Spirit that was upon Elijah, already three times, and promises twice more; five times, for grace. He used It upon Elijah; It came on Elisha in a double portion; was on John the Baptist; and supposed to come just to issue in the Gentile Bride; and come with Moses to take the Jews home. That's right. Five times that God promises to use the Spirit of Elijah, and already done it three times. 64-0313 - The Voice Of The Sign 119 Notice, first, Elijah was a man who loved the wilderness. See? And John was a man in the wilderness. 120 And Elijah was a man that condemned that organizational system, in that day, with all he had. So did John, "You generation of snakes. Who has warned you to flee from the wrath? Don't you begin to say, 'I have this, that, or the other.' God is able of these stones to rise children to Abraham." See the two natures? 121 And look at Elijah, he condemned all them painted-faced Jezebels of his day, them immoral women. What did John do? The same thing, to Herodias. Both of them, was a cause of their death. Cont..... 122 Look at Elijah, after he had done that great work, he'd get moody, laid out there and prayed for God to take him. John did the same, even laid there and sent his disciples over, said, "Go ask Him. Is He the One or do we look for another?" Jesus knew that. 123 He was Elijah. That had to be his nature. He was identified exactly as Elijah was. He was in the spirit of Elijah. 124 Is to come five times, that spirit is, to be used: Elijah, Elisha, John, Malachi 4, and then for the Jews. The last days, we're in tonight, the spirit of Elijah. Notice now. An Exposition Of The Seven Church Ages - Chapter Nine - The Laodicean Church Age Before the coming of our Lord, Elijah must come back for a work of restoration in the church. This is what Malachi 4:5 says, "Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord; and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." There is absolutely no doubt that Elijah must return before the coming of Jesus. He has a specific work to accomplish. That work is the part of Malachi 4:6 that says "he will turn the hearts of the children to their fathers". The reason that we know this is his specific work to do at that time is because he has already accomplished the part that says "he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children," when the Elijah ministry was here in John the Baptist. cont... Luke 1:17, "And he shall go before Him in the Spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the Just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." In the ministry of John the "hearts of the fathers were turned to the children". We know that because Jesus said so. But it does not say that the hearts of the children were turned to the fathers. That is yet to take place. The hearts of the last day children will be turned back to the Pentecostal fathers. John got the fathers ready for Jesus to welcome the children into the fold. Now this prophet upon whom the Spirit of Elijah falls will prepare the children to welcome back Jesus. 64-0614M - The Unveiling Of God 243 So now we are invited into Him, to be partakers of all that He is. We're invited into Him, which is hid to unbelievers, by the veil of human flesh. See? They know that Glory, they read of It, It's in the Word here, "the Glory of God" and things like that, it's just a word to them. To us, it's a manifestation! See? It is no more a word; it's a reality! Amen!
244 God said, "Let there be light," that was the word. But now there is light. It ain't the word; it's the light. See what I mean?
245 Now it isn't just a written Word to us, it's a reality. We
are in Him. Now we're enjoying. Now we behold Him. Now we see Him, the Word, manifesting Himself. It's hid, out there, because (why?) It's veiled in human flesh. See?
