 This is the communication of feelings and thoughts


without words.

 It is the truest form of communication.

 Note that verbal communication must be in tandem


with non verbal communication for patient to not be
confused.

 The ability to communicate information


accurately, clearly and as intended, is a vital
life skill and something that should not be
overlooked.
 An essential skill that employers seek.
Verbal communication skills are ranked first
among a job candidate's ‘must have' skills and
qualities.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS FOR WORKPLACE SUCCESS

 The ability to communicate effectively with


superiors, colleagues, and staff is essential, no matter
what industry you work in.
 Workers in the digital age must know how to
effectively convey and receive messages in person as
well as via phone, email, and social media.
 Good communication skills will help you get hired,
land promotions, and be a success throughout your
career.
CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD
COMMUNICATOR

• Listening. Being a good listener is one of the best ways to


be a good communicator.
• Clarity and Concision. Spoken words must convey the
exact message
• Friendliness. The atmosphere must be conducive
• Confidence. One must be sure of what he is saying/doing
• Empathy. Must have the well being of the listener in mind
• Open-Mindedness. Must be open to arising
circumstances
• Respect. There must be mutual respect for all parties
• Nonverbal Communication. Must be in tanderm with
the verbal communication.
