Client Challenge :
SADAD today has a monopolistic business on e-Billing and Payment Platform (EBPP) with 150 major clients with 156 million annual transactions resulting in total yearly revenues of
USD 170 M.
This is based on SADAD monolithic payment platform which is complex and requires a long and expensive onboarding for new billers (including full network connectivity).
The Oil crisis is impacting the econmonic situation in Saudi and its becomming challenging for more and more industries especially in managing their cashflow. This leads to an increase in
demand for SADADs services. However SADAD is unable to cope with this demand from both a platform and service organization.
SADAD is exclusively discussing with Accenture to launch the EBPP service to a wider Saudi market consisting of large, medium and small enterprises.
Accenture’s Invoice Hub solution is designed around Invoice Sharing platform on principles of investment, risk and return sharing with SADAD.
SADAD will lead sales and marketing efforts supported by Accenture and will be responsible for reaching agreed customer ramp up (~228 customers at the end of year 5).
Accenture owns the Scope and process and will invest in providing the agreed services.
SADAD is responsible for procurement of infrastructure, performing NFR testing and operations of the Infrastructure.
Pricing for each invoice and payment processed has been designed such that it reduces as invoice value increases.
SADAD share of client fees increases with increase in volume (Ranges from 0% upto 0.42M annual transactions to 70% for annual transactions in excess of 8.33M)

Invoice Hub platform is aligned with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strategic initiatives and will deliver the below benefits to the government :
At 100% adoption, the platform will create savings of ~2% of GDP in the B2B sector only (assuming 1B invoices being processed)
The Invoice hub will be part of the KSA invoicing and payments ecosystem connecting suppliers with buyers.
It will provide true source of data for Tax and Revenue authorities, will be leveraged as key input for planning strategic initiatives.
For SADAD suppliers, it will provide a cost effective platform that aids in faster collections and improves reconciliation process.
For SADAD Buyers, it will provide a cost effective platform that aids in increased compliance, transparency, accessibility and improved Financial Management.
Outcome:
Accenture Solution will deliver multiple strategic outcomes for both SADAD and Accenture.
Provide a cost effective platform for SADAD’s buyers and sellers that improves reconciliation process, increases compliance, transparency, accessibility and improved Financial Management.
Revenue of $80.6M generating 36.6% CCI which is the biggest program within the UAE.
