Regulations On General Conditions for
connecting Solar PV Generation sources
• All Solar Farm supplying to National Grid must be sold to only
EDC under a PPA approved by EAC.

• All of installation which is not connected and synchronized


with National Grid, can do so and will be responsible for its
safe operation

• All solar project synchronized National Grid, consumers will be


changed the tariff approved by EAC , based on two part tariff
system (capacity and energy).

• The maximum capacity of the Solar Power Project, shall not be
more than 50% of the Contract Demand in kW( Power Factor of
0.90)

• The inverters must be the zero export of electricity to the grid

• MV and HV consumer intending to install Solar PV and


synchronize to supply grid must ask the permission from EDC
and the licensee with giving full information of that PV Project.

• Installed capacity of 300kWp in Tek Chha area, Prey Chhor


district, Kompong Cham province.

• Installed capacity 120 kWp near Sihanoukville

Project).

• Donbosco with installed capacity of 200kWp in Sihanouk Ville.

Large scale solar PV Planing
• Grant aid by ADB with installed capacity of 100MWp in Two
Phases
– Up to 50MWp phase I
– Up to 50MWp phase II

• GGGI develop KEP Solar Project with expected install capacity


of 10,000kWp to support the reliability and security of
electricity supply in KEP city. The project is expected to
commissioning in the year 2020.

• 60MW Solar Project at Kampong Speu province by Schneitec
