Understanding Stated Information in a Text

Information in a text is sometimes easy to find and


some other times difficult to locate. However, with the right
strategies to locate the answer to the question, the required
information can be easily found. It’s not uncommon that
started detail information is often a restatement of what is
given in the passage. It may also mean that information is
often expressed in the same way as what is written in the
passage, only that the words may it be exactly in the same.
The common questions for a detail information
in a text are:

o It’s stated in the passage .......
o The passage indicates that ......
o The author mentions that .......
o Which of the following is true ......
The Characteristic of SDQ

The correct answer of stated detail question is a


repetition of the statement text, expressed the same idea
in the text but the words are not common.
Steps to find the SDQ

1. Choose a key word in the question.


2. Skim in the appropriate part of the passage for the key word or
idea.
3. Read the sentence that contains the key word or idea
carefully.
4. Look for the answer that restates an idea in the passage.
5. Eliminate the definitely wrong answers and choose the best
answer from the remaining choices.

of this dangerous characteristic, the United States revoked
permission for the home use of carbon tetrachloride in 1970. The
United States has taken similar action with various other chemical
compounds.

need to draw a conclusion from the information stated in the
text, whether certain information ins included or mentioned
in the text.
Steps to find the UDQ

1. Choose a key word in the question.


2. Skim in the appropriate part of the passage for the key word or
idea.
3. Read the sentence that contains the key word or idea carefully.
4. Look for the answer that restates an idea in the passage.
5. Eliminate the definitely wrong answers and choose the best
answer from the remaining choices.
Blood plasma is clear, almost colorless liquid. It consists of
blood from which the red and white blood cells have been removed. It
is open used intrafusions because a passion generally needs the
plasma portion of the blood more than the other componenents.
Plasma differs in several important ways from whole blood. Firt
of all, plasma can be mixed for all donors and doesn’t have to be from
the right blood group, as whole blood does. In addition plasma can be
dried and stored, while whole blood cannot.
