Pendahuluan
• Nefropati IgA, disebut juga penyakit Berger dari nama
penemunya, seorang dokter Prancis Jean Berger.
• Secara imunohistokimia ditandai dengan deposisi dari IgA
dan IgG di mesangium glomerular.
• Nefropati IgA terjadi pada semua kelompok umur, biasanya
didiagnosis sebelum usia 30 tahun.
• Mekanisme yang tepat terjadinya penyakit nefropati IgA
belum diketahui secara pasti.
• Manifestasi klinis pada nefropati IgA dilihat dari onset usia
terjadinya penyakit serta terdapat gejala hematuria dengan
atau tanpa proteinuria.
• Tatalaksana yang diberikan pada penyakit ini hanya dapat
berupa terapi suportif hingga dialisis.
