What is happening?
Change temperature?
• Put 5cm3 of water into all your test tubes
• Put all except one in a beaker of water and heat it up
• Add one crystal of potassium manganate (VII) to the
remaining test tube
• Time how long it takes until all the solution is purple
• Take the temperature of the room
• Take the temperature of the water in the bath
• Remove a test tube one at a time add a crystal and time how
long it takes to go purple
• Record the temperature and time for each tube
