I. POSTCARD
Guidelines of writing postcards
1. Write your messages on the left side of the card.

2. Write the recipient’s address on the right side of the

card followed by his/her address.

3. Begin your postcard with a greeting or salutation.

4. You may begin with: ‘Dear’, ‘Dearest’, ‘Hi’, ‘Hello’.

5. The contents consist of the message you want to write.

Organise your points properly and convey your
message clearly.

6. End the postcard with a signature or your name below

the ending or closing on the right hand side of the page.

off your postcard.
When writing to a family member or a
relative, you can end with:

When writing to friends, you may end with:
