Making Changes Easier, Faster, Less Error Prone And
Less Costly

• Many information management

processes are fairly unstructured.
• Having a single management system,
with a central repository for metadata
and master data, and with approved
data, creates a more reliable process.
• In a mid-sized organization, this can
easily lead to tens of thousands of dollars
in cost savings and for large
organizations, the savings are significant.

Enterprise Information Management (EIM)

• Aimed more at chief information officer

(CIO)
• Allows systems to change data in real time

• Changes the role of data warehouse ,making it a part of “closed loop”

architecture.

• All of this is able to be implemented because of service oriented

architecture.

• It requires a separation of data and process so, that components

make use of common data.

Mass Customization

• It is generally meant to be producing different product configuration

through a standard mass production .

• But at the other end in customization process nowadays ,

customers are also involved making it a complex process

• Automotive, fashion industry, financial services are some examples

of customization process.

• Pricing plays an important role in this process.

• Without strong information management it is impossible to

implement.

Conclusion

• It is clear from the study that information management is one of the

important element of an organization.

• Data or information is an asset to the company like labor , capital

etc. so , it must be managed optimally

• Help in making changes easier, faster, less error prone and less
costly through a single information management system.
