2. Tanks & silos
Fabricated steel production stages
• Preparation is the process of component single
parts production (web ,flanges , end plates ..)
• Pre assembly is process of fabricating the main
part of the assembly which all other single part
are attached to. For example I section of a beam
the connecting of the web and flange is the pre
assembly
• Auto welding (full welding ): is the process of
continues welding along the main part
• Full assembly is the process of attaching the
other component (end plates , shear stiffeners…
) to the main part .
• Full welding is the process of welding the a
attached component
• Painting : the process of painting an coating the
finish product

Roles and responsibilities
 • Technical office role :
1. Design and detail steel structure and products .
2. Create stander products catalog .
The design should fulfill the following:-
Structure safety
Economic design
Productivity
Technical office Must take into account machines
limitation & best available nesting to reduce raw
material losses.
• Work shop Role :
• Producing design according to the specification &
standers
• Purchases Role : supply work shop with required
material to perform the production processes
• Marketing role : Marketing icon steel products
and Feeding company with good deals
• Cost accounting :monitoring production costs and
define the competitive product’s price .
 • Inventory role :
1. monitoring addition and exchange
2. Store raw material
3. Store finish products
4. Product release
• HR role : prepare work contract and dealing
with labors issues
 • According to the scope Icon must have two main
production lines :
1. Tanks and cylinder shape production line
2. Beams and I-section production line

 Each production line consist of the same
