Summary:
An eight year old boy named Kevin is struggling with his need to check things and repeat actions over
and over again. His school counselor diagnoses him with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and
begins to teach him ways to manage his condition. The method of helping the child unlearn the
compulsions is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which they use in the book to silence “Mr.
Worry’s calls.” The book does also include a personal note to parents and teachers explaining OCD
from the author’s perspective as parent who has a son with OCD.
