 Spanner

• A Spanner is used to drive nut and bolt. It is made up of iron with chromium.
According to requirements spanners are designed in different shapes and
sizes.

 D-Type Spanner

• Because of its shape at both ends it is called ‘D’ type spanner and It is also
called an Open ended spanner.

• It is used to connect wave guide cable with feed horn and radio.
• It is used to connect grounding cable with grounding bar in PIU and
POWER PLANT.
• It is used to connect power cable with bus bar .
• We have to use 6 number spanner

• D-Type Spanner 8-9 size

• It is used to assemble BTS.

• It is used to connect internal cabling of BTS.
• It is used to tight metallic tie on rubber boots of the ROXTEC.
• We have to use 8 number spanner.

• It is used to assemble microwave dish antenna.

• It is used to fit Radom on MW dish antenna.
• It is used to connect grounding cables with grounding bar.
• It is used to connect power cable with bus bar.
• It is Used to assemble battery bank in case of AMARARAJA
and GNV manufactured.
• It is Used to connect power cable from Battery Bank to Power Plant.
• It is used to connect positive power cable from battery bank with bus bar of
power plant.
• It is Used to connect positive power cable with bus bar of power plant(for
DCDB) .
• It is used to install DCDB grounding bar microwave IDU,DDF MUX and SDH
equipments (inside transmission rack).
• It is used to connect grounding cable with cable tray.
• Used to assemble DDF rack.
• It is Used to assemble transmission rack.
• It is used to install ROXTEC.
• It is used to connect grounding cable with BTS

• It is used to assemble and align MW antenna ( nokia microwave).

• It is used to connect grounding cables of Nokia Radio
• It is used to attach radio with microwave antenna (nokia microwave).
• It is used to assemble RF/IF clamps.
• It is used to install C-clamps.
• It is used to connect grounding cable with bus bar(optional)
• Used to connect grounding cable with C-clamp.
• It is used to assemble and install panel antennas.
• It is used to connect power cable with bus bar of power plant for BTS
and DCDB (HBL batteries).
• It is Used to assemble Battery bank in case of HBL manufacturer.
• It is Used to connect +ve cable on BTS and DCDB of Power plant.
• It is Used to connect grounding cable of surge arrestor.
• We have to use 13 number spanner.

 D-Type Spanner 14-15 size

• Use to assemble and install GSM antenna (Andrew).

• Used to connect assemble, install and align MW antenna up to 0.6 M size
in case of COMBA and some of the CERAGON MW.
• Used to connect grounding cable of Indoor cable tray (Optional).
• We have to use 14 number of spanner

D-Type Spanner 16-17 size

• It Used to connect assemble, install and align MW antenna (for Ericson) .

• It is used to attach Radio with MW antennas.
• It is used to connect power cable with BTS.
• It used to connect grounding cable with BTS.
• It is used to connect grounding cable with MW antennas Radio.
• It is used to install and assemble transmission rack.
• It is used to groute BTS, transmission rack ,DDF rack, FMS.
• It is used to assemble IF connector.
• It is used to assemble jumper connecter.
• It used to connect IF connecter with MW.
• It is used to assemble stacks of battery bank.

 D-Type Spanner 18-19 ,20-22,21-23 size

• It is used to assemble and install pole mount.

• It is used to assemble and install microwave antennas (above 1.2m and
above in size.
• It is used to assemble jumper connector and IF connector.

D-Type Spanner 24-27 size

• Used to assemble and install pole mount.

• It is used to assemble and install MW antennas size above 2.4m and
above.
• It is used to assemble jumper cable.

D-Type Spanner 30-32 ,32-36,36-44 size

• It is used to assemble 5/4’’ feeder connecter.

• It is used to connect jumper cable with feeder cable .

• It is used to connect indoor jumper with BTS and surge arrester.

 Ring Spanner

• Because of ring shape at both end it is called Ring spanner.

• Advantage of this spanner is, it gives more surface contact on nut and bolt.
• Provides 360 degree grip.
• Chances of slip nil almost.
• More shaft length, so less force required.
• We can use this where we are using D type spanner.

the ratcheting action in either direction, as needed, to tighten or
loosen a fastener.
• Socket is locked with Adaptor by small ball available on adaptor.
• To insert a bit, press and hold locking/unlocking button and insert
socket (bit).

 Torque Wrench

• A torque wrench is a tool used to precisely apply a specific torque

to a fastener such as a nut or bolt.
• It is usually in the form of a socket wrench with special internal
mechanisms.
• It was designed to prevent over tightening bolts on Eqpts.

driver).
• To leave a small hole for DDF frame installation (by using poker).

• To assemble alarm connecter and login connector (flat head or cross head small bit).
• To connect negative power cable from BTS with MCV of power plant (flat head or cross
head heavy duty).
• To connect power to DDF frame with MCV (flat head or cross head heavy duty).
• To install DDF ,DCDB ,GROUNDING BAR,MW IDU, and MUX inside the transmission
rack (flat head or cross head heavy duty).
• To connect negative power cable from power plant with MCV (DCDB)(flat head small

 Drill Machine

• A drill is a tool fitted with a cutting tool attachment or driving tool

attachment, usually a drill bit or driver bit used boring holes in different
materials or fastening various materials together. the attachment is gripped
by a chuck at one end of the drill and rotated while pressed against the
target material.
• In telecom sector we need to use two types of dill bit
• Normal mode
• It is used for normal or wooden surface(m13 bit size).
• Heavy mode
• It is used fore concrete surface(m16 bit size).
