Background of STELLA • Known as the study thinking for education and research. • Flexible computers modeling package equipped with easy and intuitive interface. • Used to construct dynamic models that realistically stimulate system. • Have four model building blocks used in the modeling process: Stock, flows, connecter and converter. • Three steps in order to construct STELLA model: • Constructing a model (defined stock). • Parameterizing the model. • Exploring the model dynamics. ADVANTAGES • Enhance student interest and motivation to learn because simulations allow them to interact with it. • Allows students to analyze data and predict future outcome. • Students are experimenting and they will play active role compare to student just only listening passively to the teacher. • Students can relate the content knowledge with the real life. • Simulations can save the cost and time. CONCLUSIONS •Give many advantages and suitable to be used in the school.
•Can be considered as powerful tool in active learning
experiences.
•Can promote the deep learning that can enhanced the
understanding.
•Students will become more exciting and inspiring in study.
