A slave is someone who is owned by another person. A slave


has:

No choice No freedom No money


What are all these logos symbols of?
Britain’s involvement in the slave trade made a huge amount
of money!
For over 300 years, slaves were captured along the west
coast of Africa, often with the active help of African
kings and merchants. Slaves were traded for beads,
textiles, brandy, horses, and guns. Britain was the main
slave trading nation after 1555.
Why were African Kings and Merchants willing to trade
people to Britain?
