WHY CHOOSE ACTIVE LEARNING?

● Studies have shown students prefer this


method rather than listening to lectures.

- boredom
- not paying attention
- brain doesn't absorb information
- bad grades

● SCRIBE
- scribe collects notes and homework from the students
in the group
- take minutes down (ex: Thresya is the teacher this
week)
● TEACHER
- the teacher is a student in the group that will teach the
group
- the teacher will decide which activity to work on
- the teacher will decide what text should the students
read

1) Be active!
2) develop plans for the week
3) ask questions; don't be shy
4) listen and take notes
5) if you're the teacher then plan on what
you're going to teach
