➔ The National Industry Recovery Act was put in place (enacted) by
Congress in June 1933
➔ The National Industry Recovery Act (NIRA) was a United States labor
law & consumer law that was passed by the US Congress to authorize
the President to put in place fair wages/ prices that would essentially
help economic recovery.
➔ The National Industry Recovery Act was set in place to help the
National Recovery
Administration

➔ The National Recovery Administration (NRA) Was
founded/enacted in 1933 by Franklin D. Roosevelt
➔ The goal of this program was to eliminate “cut-throat
competition”.
➔ The NRA ended when it was invalidated by the supreme
court in 1935
➔ The court struck down on the National Industrial Recovery
Act (NIRA) which then struck down on the (NRA) National
Recovery Administration which happened in Schechter
Poultry Corporation in the United States in May of the year
1935
