Edgewood Elementary Vision

We aspire to develop globally conscious citizens of strong character who are
critical thinkers and can contribute to the world.

Edgewood Elementary Mission

Edgewood Elementary is a professional learning community with the mission
of ensuring high levels of students achievement for every child. We believe
that all students deserve:
• Authentic learning experiences that are rigorous, individualized, and
collaborative.
• The opportunity for their gifts and talents to be discovered and nurtured.
About Edgewood

Edgewood is a Title I school in the Spring Branch Independent School District serving students from Pre-K to 5th
grade. Due to our high population of English Language Learners we offer a One-Way Dual Language program on
our campus.

Thanks to partners like Spring Spirit and CenterPoint Energy, we are able to offer our students programs such as
in-school tutoring and after-school soccer at no cost.

At Edgewood we work hard every day on providing the best education to all of our students, but we like to have
fun too! The students get to enjoy many activities throughout the school year including sock hops, Field Day, the
fall carnival, Family Library Nights, the Story Character Parade, and Father/Daughter dances. We also have the
privilege of cheering on the Houston Rodeo Trail Riders each year as they pass in front of our school.
