• Visionary Leadership (VL) - combination of three style : - VL is very clear about what s/he believes and knows is best for learning - Leader’s individual belief have developed in collaboration with other stakeholders - Will hear element of vision in the way s/he talks - The experiences of students and outcomes are the centre of the vision - People will feel something good: inspired ,motivated and excited - VL talks and walks the school’s vision - Less adopted styles like empowering that allows employees to have direct decision making responsibilities. - VL : empathetic (set of tones) to make employees feel engaged, humble Task 2: Qualities of an effective headmaster • Obedient and courage to handle the higher authorities such as the PPD, Ministry of Education. • Friendly, warm, soft-spoken at the same time a little quality of strict to handle the teachers and staff in the school and also the parents. • In handling the rules or system in school, the qualities of strict, rationale, determined and very discipline but at the same time flexible for some cases. • Honest and organised in handling the materials or resources in the school or given by the higher authorities. • Creative, critical, always analyse and diligent in IQ and EQ when solving the problems occur in the school. Rationale 1. The qualities are needed to handle the different stakeholders in the school -build rapport-good relationship • Higher authorities: PPD, MoE • Teachers and staff • Parents 2. The qualities are needed to handle the rules or system designed and implemented in the school. (lesson plan, assessments) 3. The qualities are essential to handle the materials or resources in the school. (textbooks, funds) 4. The qualities are to produce harmony in school when the problems occur are solved diligently. (cultural diversity)
