Continuous Bleaching Plant

Continuous Bleaching - Highlights

 Limitation of undesirable reactions by air or temperature

due to:
- mixing of bleaching earth and oil in the retention vessel under vacuum

- moderate thermal treatment in the bleacher under vacuum

- storage after filtration of oil under vacuum

 Low bleaching earth consumption due to:

- uniform suspension of the bleaching earth in the oil by direct steam
agitation in the bleacher

- acid-activation of the bleaching earth by direct steam

- optimum temperature and retention time

Continuous Bleaching - Highlights

 Continuous filtration of the bleaching earth by:

- two vertical leaf filters operating one at a time

- automatic cleaning of the Filters by direct steam or air

 Heat recovery by:

- heat-exchange between the incoming and outgoing oil

- or heat exchange study for the whole refinery plant

Continuous Bleaching - Highlights

 Options:
- automatic control of the vertical leaf filters

- bleaching earth transport system to bleaching earth day-tank

- integration of the bleaching section in a complete edible oil refinery

for optimized heat exchange and plant layout

- Lurgi offer and has already implemented the “TriSyl” concept as a

process combination of a high efficiency Pre treatment step with “TriSil”
and after the normal Bleaching process
