Once upon a time there was something called

economy…
… there were suppliers of goods and
services and demanders (companies and
families)
• Companies: sell goods and services.
• Families: buy them at a specific Price.
At our highschool we can also find
these basic economic concepts:
• Those who look for HELP about
specific topics
• Those who can HELP.
We use TIME as currency: in economy
we pay using MONEY, our currency
here is time

what do we DO?
Whenever a classmate helps another
one, that means an expenditure of
time which will be recorded in a
double-entry table indicating the
name of the one who helps and the
name of the one who receives that
help.
Receives help helps
We add the time they have used for
helping others (green) an the time
they have been helped (red). The
difference indicates if they have
superavit or deficit of time.
POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE RESULT
Our currency is time. We only consider
those helping actions that mean an
important expense of time, both
inside and outside the class.
What do we want to achieve?

Our goals are:

GOALS
• All our students feel INCLUDED in class: above
all those who have more problems in social
interaction.
GOALS
• Foster the COLLABORATION among
classmates: helping others is motivating.
GOALS
• Promote the TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS :
they usually prefer asking other classmates
rather than the teachers.
GOALS
• Foster the INTERACTION among them: the
action should be reciprocal, one day you may
help others and the next you may need some
help.
GOALS
• TEAMWORK: strength through unity…
GOALS
• Learn how a small-scale economy WORKS: this
goal is directly related to the contents of the
subject.
GOALS
• Value the time as a limited and precious
RESOURCE : the time we have has to be used
in productive actions.
GOALS
• Improve the general ENVIRONMENT of the
group: students who work in positive
environments, work better and more.
The DEVELOPMENT of the
Project …
DEVELOPMENT
• In a NATURAL way. Students don´t realize that
they are taking part in the Project.
DEVELOPMENT
• Those students who help others see how their
classmates learn and improve. That means a
great MOTIVATION for them.
The PARTICIPATION …
PARTICIPATION
• ALL the students have taken part on it.
PARTICIPATION table:
ACTIONS accoplished:
PARTICIPATION
• The participation has not only taken place in
the classroom but also OUTSIDE in extra-
curricular activities.
• An example is the game of the stock
exchange, which is an activity that we have
used during this academic year. Here the
students Exchange knowledge and
impressions.
With an initial capital of 10.000 euros and using
the web page www.labolsavirtual.es, each
student invests in stocks and competes to get
more profitability. The winner of the first
edition was Cristina Rubio.
Have we LEARNT anything?
LEARNING
• Students who need help in specific issues,
they will be able to help their classmates
TOMORROW.
LEARNING
• There is a lot of COMPANIONSHIP in class…
For example…
But we must work as well…
Our CONCLUSIONS…
CONCLUSIONS
• There has been a general IMPROVEMENT in
the most difficult tasks.
CONCLUSIONS
• The most important conclusion is that the
students would like to have AGAIN that
experience.
CONCLUSIONS
• All this Project could be summarized using a
SENTENCE:
