On 3rd of September MERI decided to have a GREEN DRIVE. 60 students
participated in this activity followed by 2 groups. One for C3 park in Janakpuri
and other for C1 park in Janakpuri. Every student dig the ground and started

Rahagiri Day
The city’s most celebrated ‘Green Delhi’ initiative by Times of India in
association with NDMC and Delhi Police Department was the recent target of
MERI students enjoyed thoroughly with gusto and gumption on September
11th, 2016 at Connaught Place by delivering performances by students and
encouraging the city to vibe along.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Drive-
The drive begins from MERI itself on 22nd October 2016,the whole team of

Blood Donation Camp
Blood Donation Camp organized by Social Service Unit Of AIIMS in
association with State Bank of Patiala on November 7th, 2016 at MERI. Sh.
Suresh Kozhikote, DGM State Bank Of Patiala Inaugurated the event. Seeing
each donor with a contentment of, ‘living a life, by giving a life’ – the ambience
was even more lit up and the aspiring donors in the line; were ready for
spreading their share of happiness. A Total of 76 Units were Collected

Motivational Drive in Slum Area – Students visited the slum area of Chander vihar, Delhi on 27
Jan 2017 for a literacy drive where they motivated the parents of young kids for getting their
children admitted to the Gyaneshwari school in their area which is managed by a NGO, Seed
Trust India Ltd.
Holi Celebration
“Khelo Holi Naturally” – Holi, MERI encouraged the use of Organic Colours that are made
naturally from flowers and nature’s products like sandal and turmeric by initiating ‘Safe Holi’ at the
Campus on March 15h, 2017, keeping intact the gaiety and glamour of the festival.

Cleanliness Drive Week- The drive begins from our college MERI itself on 1st Oct 2017 . The

Visit To Orphanage - Students decided to visit an orphanage, Holy Child at Mahaveer Nagar,
Delhi on 12 Aug 2017. They distributed food blankets, drawing books, crayons, pencils etc. They
were ecstatic to have food from outside and were even more elated when they received the
stationary. The Volunteers conducted various activities of origami, passing the parcel and talent
show in order to make them feel comfortable and finally they talked individually to everyone.

Diwali Celeberation at Orphanage - The volunteers of Aaghaz this year celebrated Diwali 17
Oct 2017 with girls at orphanage by distributing new clothes, sweets and conducting a Rangoli
and Diya painting Competition to nurture their Talents

Marathon “Clean Delhi Green Delhi” (5th November 2017)- The CSR Club Aaghaz conducted
the Marathon – “Run for Clean Delhi Green Delhi “of 5km & 7.5 Km at Rajiv Chowk, CP, New
Delhi along with NDMC and Delhi Police the event was sponsored by Shri Shyam Tiles & Kachroo
Buildcon, Prof. Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudh, Chairman AICTE was the Cheif Guest of the Day
Arond 400-500 Fitness Freaks Participated in the Event.
