Nurse Brad flint works the 12 hours evening shift
on a busy surgical unit in a 200 bed community
hospital. He has been employed on this same unit for 5
years. During the past years he has been late six times
and he often receives several calls per shift from his
children.
Unit manager susan smith has verbally counseled
nurse flint and palace a disciplanary warning in this
personnel life. If nurse flint does not concistently arrive
on time for hist shift over the next 3 month, he will be
suspended without pay and perhaps lose his job.
