    Global warming is causing the average temperature of the Earth to rise by 0.74°C. As a result, glaciers and ice caps are melting which is causing sea levels to rise. Other effects include the extinction of animal and plant species, more common infectious diseases, extreme weather, and changes to the entire weather system. Some ways to help address global warming include planting trees, saving water, recycling, using sunlight and opening windows instead of electricity at night, turning off lights when not in use, walking or biking instead of driving, and printing on both sides of paper to save paper.
