*WILL / WONT
They are used
1- when the speaker decides to do something as he or she is
speaking. (spontaneous decisions)

A: Oh, I dont have my dictionary.


B: Dont worry! I will lend you mine.

2- for factual information.

-Ill be back Friday.

3- to make a prediction based on what the speaker knows.

-Well get into trouble if we do that.

*GOING TO
It is used
1- for factual information

-Im going to be back Friday.

2- to make a prediction based on what the speaker knows.

-The boss is going to be angry when he finds out.

3- for decisions the speaker has made and fixed plans.

-Were going to have dinner together after class.

*PRESENT CONTINUOUS
This form is used for decisions that the speaker has made and
plans that are fixed.

Were having dinner together after class.

*SIMPLE PRESENT
This form is often used for schedules.

I have my aerobics class tomorrow. It starts at 7:00.

*Continuous forms after be going to, will, may, might.
Continuous forms are used to talk about events that are
expected to be in progress in the future. They suggest that
these things will happen as part of the normal course of
events.

- I think people are going to be using a lot less cash in the future.

*Be going to
This lesson teaches the use of be going to when theres
evidence now for a future event.

- Everyones going to use (credit) cards more in the future.

*Will, may, might
Will, may and might are used to make predictions. Will
usually indicates 100 percent certainly. May and might
suggest les than 50 percent. Notice that adverbs like
probably can be added either after will or before wont.

- Every cell phone will (probably) have a chip.


- There may/might not be a use for cash.

*If / time clause with future meaning
When a sentence about the future includes a subordinate if
clause or a time clause (beginning with when, before, etc.),
the verb in the subordinate clause is usually in the present
form. The main clause carries the idea of future time.

- If we only use cards, what are the kids going to do?


- Youll use your cell phone when you buy things in the future.
