Space Orientation
KHUMBHAR- ALI

The main space for display finishing was


located in Kasba peth whilst the
manufacturing area as in Koregaon Park ,
Pune.

It had an distinguished space for


manufacturing, finishing and display area.

The display area in the interior also acted as


their storage area.

Tambat- Ali
About the place

Tambat Ali was the space for metal- work.


It is a interconnected maze of streets and buildings with
narrow spaces and wider chowks.
The workshops are used for finishing.
The lanes leading to the workshop have line of gleaning
copper utensils pilled up.
Manufacturing is done on small scale in there living
residential space.
The utensils are manufactured in a different place just
the final colouring and finishing is done here and then
sold.
These works are done just outside their houses.

Black hole
This courtyard is called black hole..
It has 4 scientist sculptures (Newton, Einstein,
Aryabhatta, Galileo) in the courtyard
This is a central courtyard which opens up to 4
major elements of the institute: library, faculty
offices, lecture halls, student facilities)
Levels created using granite blocks
As a person enters in this courtyard, the aesthetics
of the garden, increases the level of curiosity for the
other spaces. And a person never gets bored by
moving everyday from this space.

faculty hostels.
