Scenario . Provision a Branch Router via the
APIC-EM PnP Application With Network PnP,
you can preconfigure a project to determine
what configuration is deployed on a device.
When a device matches by serial number, the
device is provisioned and configured
automatically. In this scenario, the user
provisions a new CSR1Kv branch router via
the Network PnP Application. Adding a new
router is as simple as plugging in and
powering it up. This new device is
provisioned with the appropriate image and
configuration via the Network PnP
application after bootup.
Network Plug and Play
2. Click on the arrow in the upper left and
select Network Plug and Play from the menu.
APIC-EM Dashboard
3. The APIC-Enterprise Module dashboard
displays a project listing and added devices
that are not associated with a project. Right
now, nothing displays, since no projects or
devices have been added

NOTE: For small sites where pre-provisioning

is not required, devices can be deployed
without prior setup on the Cisco Network
Plug and Play application and then claimed.
Unplanned devices page provides the details
of devices that are claimed, unclaimed, and
ignored.
4. Click the Configurations tab and click
Upload. This tab allows you to select the
configurations to load onto your devices.

in the serial number.
NOTE: This screen allows you to add multiple
devices under each project. Each device can
have a unique configuration, or they can
share the same configuration. This would
allow you provision a whole site under one
project.

displays in the listing.

16. From the desktop, click the Ping CSR-BR
icon. This creates a constant ping at the CSR.
Point out the CSR is currently unreachable, as
it has not yet been provisioned.
