ATHG to strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation.

The duty are:

1. disseminating the lemhamnas into the community,
2. improve national security concept and substance
scientifically,
3. examine the problems facing the nation and the country
comprehensively integrals,
4. selecting and preparing a cadre of leaders according to
needs
 According to LEMHAMNAS, National Defense is
Dynamic condition of a nation that contains tenacity and
toughness that can develop strength national in face and
above all threat, challenge, resistance and disorder good
coming from without and the interior which directly or
indirectly, that endanger integrity, identity, survival of the
nation and struggle the pursuit of its national and purpose.
 The Essence Of National
Defense
The concept of national defense Indonesia is about setting
and the welfare and security in all aspects of national life
thorough and fully integrated, with based on Pancasila and
UUD 45
The purpose of Indonesia national defense divided into:
1. The minimmal purpose: maintain the viability of the nation as
long as possible
2. The maximal purpose: An instrument for toward the glory of
the nation and of the state
Based on the purpose of minimum and maximum, then the
essence of Indonesian national defense is the ability and
toughnessto ensure their survival toward the glory of the nation
and of the state.

Pancasila UUD 45 and archipelagic.

As a guideline and direction in arranging any development
programs.

National security depends on the ability of the nation /
state in utilizing natural aspects as basis for the
implementation of national life in all fields.
National security is a holistic sense.
Weakness in one field can lead to weakness of the other
field.
National security is not a summation of each gatra
resistance.
Between Trigatra and Pancagatra and inter gatra itself
there is a close relationship (reciprocal).
