What is holography
Holographyis a technique that allows
thelight scattered from an object to be
recorded and later reconstructed.
Thetechnique to optically store, retrieve, and
process information.
Preserve the 3-D information of a
holographed subject

HISTORY
holography
Types of
A.Reflex hologram 8
Hologram Illuminatedby a spot
s of white incandescent
light source, from
front-above
The image consists of
light reflected by the
hologram
Produces multicolour
holograms, makes
images optically
indistinguishable from
the original objects
9
B.Transmission hologram
Viewed with laser light,
usually of the same type used
to make the recording
Need light source behind
them
Virtual image can be very
sharp and deep
10
C.Computer-generated
holograms
No need for a real object
Interference pattern is
calculated digitally, using
algorithms
How 11
The time-varying light
hologram
field of a scene with all
s work its physical properties is
to be recorded and then
regenerated.
Hence the working of
holography is divided
into two phases:

Projected cost of
Holographic system
Why 31
Cost effective
Higher storage capacity
Increased feasibility of objects (depth)
Enablesthe achievement of multiple
images on a single plate and 3D images
Ability
to combine with other
technologies
