Best Kid-Friendly Hotels

in Lanzarote
Despite being fairly unknown in North America, Lanzarote is quite a
popular spot for Europeans looking for warmer weather in the
winter. These Lanzarote hotels serve the needs of families especially well.

Check out our list of the best kid-friendly hotels in Lanzarote and start
planning your family getaway!
Hotel Costa
Calero
The 324-room Hotel Costa Calero is an upper-mid-range property located a short walk from the
towns small marina. Rooms are sunny and clean, with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and free Wi-
Fi. The hotel caters to families with several pools (including a kids' pool that's heated during the
winter), a full entertainment program for all ages, a playground, a kids club,
and available babysitting services. It is easily the most appealing of all Puerto Calero hotels, but
note that this location, while quiet, is a 10-minute drive to the nearest beach.
Hotel Grand Teguise
Playa
The Be Live Experience Grand Teguise Playa is an all-inclusive upper-middle-range resort right
on Las Cucharas Beach in Costa Teguise's lively tourist district. The 314 rooms are a bit of a
mixed bag; some higher-category rooms have pleasant, modern decor, while lower-category
rooms are dated and have features like old tube TVs. The heated saltwater pool takes center
stage, while a kids' pool, kids' club, playground, soccer field, mini-golf course and buffet
restaurant make this a family-friendly choice.
Hipotels La
Geria
The 242-room Hipotels La Geria is an upper-middle-range, all-inclusive property located across
the street from sandy Pocillos Beach. Tidy, bland rooms feature flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and
seasonal central AC. The large free-form pool is lined with palm trees and loungers and features
a kiddy section. The hotel offers other nice perks for kids, including a kids club with activities, a
playground, mini-golf, and a full entertainment program for all ages. Those traveling in a larger
group may want to compare prices at Costa Sal Apartments, which offers spacious units, lots to
do on-site, and several meal plans.
HD Beach
Resort

The HD Beach Resort has 177 open and airy suites -- even the smallest room (the Junior Suite) is
spacious. There's also a children's suite that comes with baby essentials such as a bottle warmer, a
puree blender, and a highchair. The hotel's "active" zone is family-friendly, with a large pool for
water games and a children's pool. A small playground and a kids' club are open during high
season.
Hesperia Lanzarote
Hotel
The 335-room Hesperia Lanzarote is an upper-middle-range all-inclusive hotel located in Puerto
Calero, a quiet community 10-minutes outside of Puerto del Carmen. Rooms are spacious and
bright, with up-to-date amenities like flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Family Rooms feature
separate sleeping areas for kids, with either bunk beds or twins, plus fun decor, toys, video
games, kid-size robes, and toiletries for children. The hotel has four pools, three restaurants,
tennis courts, and lots of kid-friendly amenities: a kiddy pool, a kids club, a playground, and a
mini-golf course. However, guests expecting a five-star hotel may feel disappointed, and those
looking to be within walking distance of the beach may want to consider Hipotels La Geria,
which has lower rates and more modern rooms near Puerto Carmen.
Sandos Papagayo Beach
Resort
Families and groups looking for an all-inclusive beach-front hotel with plenty of dining and
entertainment options won't be disappointed with the Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort. With 488
rooms, three pools, five bars, and several restaurants, the most common issue guests have is
getting lost on the grounds. Guest rooms vary in size but even the lower-category room types
have terraces and some rooms have beautiful water views, along with dated decor. Las Coloradas
Beach is easily accessible via a direct path from the hotel. The location isn't convenient for easy
exploring -- it's a 20-minute walk from the marina and an additional 15 minutes to Playa Blanca.
Costa Sal
Apartments
The 160-room Costa Sal Apartments is a family-friendly, upper-middle-range property that's a
short walk from Pocillos and Matagorda beaches. Studios, bungalows, apartments, and villas are
all clean and spacious and have kitchens, balconies/patios, and living areas with at least one sofa
bed. Some units are more contemporary than others, however, and some are a long walk away
from the reception area, but with two pools (each with a separate kiddy section), a solid
restaurant, tennis and paddle courts, and a small supermarket on-site, the Costa Sal is a
convenient pick for those looking to spend some relaxing days in the sun without breaking the
bank. Travelers might also want to consider the Beatriz Playa & Spa or the ClubHotel Riu Paraiso
Lanzarote.
Apartamentos Galeon
Playa

With its fun and relaxed vibe, the Apartamentos Galeon Playa is a great choice for families. The
175 apartments come in one- or two-bedroom configurations and sleep up to five adults or four
adults and two children. Entertainment -- darts, live music, karaoke -- runs throughout the day
and into the evening. The hotel has two restaurants; one is buffet-style and the other is poolside
and serves snacks and fast food. Other amenities include four pools (two are for kids), two kids'
clubs, video game arcade, pool table, playground, table tennis, and babysitting services. Wi-Fi is
also available, but for a fee.
Rubimar Suite
ApartHotel

The family-friendly Rubimar has one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments (the largest of which
can sleep up to six adults and two kids) and an enormous outdoor pool with a whirlpool at its
center. There's also a heated indoor pool, a kids' club, and a playground. The hotel offers an all-
inclusive option for those who want to take their meals at the property, but dining hours are
limited, as is the food selection.
Morromar
Apartamentos
The busy Morromar feels like a small traditional Lanzarote village, with dozens of two-story
buildings with white faades and clay-tile steps, stone paths lined with palm trees, flowers, and
cacti, and little shaded squares with a few tables and chairs. All 221 units -- studios and
apartment-style spaces -- have kitchenettes with cooktops, microwaves, toasters, electric kettles,
sinks, and mini-fridges as well as spacious balconies offering ocean views or overlooking the
grounds. The large, free-form one has a separate kiddy section, and there is a kids club (for ages
5 to 12) and a playground.
Apartamentos El
Trebol

For families with kids looking for a beach getaway with a lot of activity at a low price, El Trebol
is a good fit. Rooms have twin beds pushed together, plus pull-out sofas in the living rooms, as
well as kitchens with microwaves and stoves. The large complex of buildings and public spaces
includes a buffet restaurant, four pools (one with a kid-size water park), and laundry facilities.
Many of the activities are geared toward families, including a kids' club with programming most
of the day, disco nights for children, and nightly entertainment for adults.
La Penita
Apartments
La Penita Apartments is a no-frills value property offering 100 one-bedroom apartments in a
quiet part of Puerto del Carmen that's within walking distance of three beaches and dozens of
restaurants, bars, and shops. Units are basic and a little dated, but all feature fully equipped
kitchenettes and balconies -- some offering ocean views -- and are kept spotless. Though
amenities are limited to a lovely pool, a tennis court, a kids' playground, and a snack bar, rates
are low, and the atmosphere is friendly and quiet. For something with more features, travelers
might want to consider the Beatriz Playa & Spa or the VIK Hotel San Antonio.
