What is neuroscience?
It is the scientific study of
the nervous system. It is a
multidisciplinary branch of
biology, that deals with the
anatomy, biochemistry,
molecular biology, and
physiology of neurons and
neural circuits.

The Social Brain

Brain depends on: interactions with others for

its survival
Mirror Neurons
The main idea is that mirror
neurons create
representations of the
mental state of others. Being
around a depressed or
overly excited person
activates the same centers
in your brain. This happens
through observation.
Self-awereness
Mirror neurons are also thought
to help in the process of being
able to look at ourselves from
the perspective of others. The
same process we use to observe
and pay attention to the
behaviours of other people
would be inverted to observe
the behaviour of our self.
Example in Advertisment
Advertisements that have actors actually handle and use a
product are easily learnt and remembered. This would make us
more likely to purchase products when primed with
advertisements where the actors are consuming or using the
product being advertised.
3 Amazing discoveries in
neuroscience
You can improve your memory with one
simple technique
Three short, repetitious episodes spaced one
hour apart performed best on memory tests.
Bilingual brains process information
better.
Bilingual speakers process information more
efficiently and more easily than those who know a
single language.
You can control nature vs. nurture

A new study from Michigan State University

indicates, telling people the latter that hard
work trumps genes causes instant changes
in the brain and may make them more willing
to strive for success.

Modern Research
Modern research has
shown that the brain
continues to create new
neural pathways and
alters existing ones in
order to adapt to new
experience, learn new
information and create
new memories.
Conclusion
To sum up, employees need to understand
neuroscience and mechanism of their brains for
the following areas:
enhance their productivity-
increased companys profitability
Management Aspects
From management aspect, it is worthwhile for
business leaders to delve deeper into
neuroscience. Neuroscience teaches us how
people learn and how behaviors can be changed
Insights
Neuroscience does not
provide all the answers,
but it offers insights on
how effective learning and
development programs
can be tailored in order to
develop effective
organizations
