1 Super Hornet Simulator
The Super Hornet simulator was
connected to a cockpit and systems
development laboratory operated by
Elbit's Brazilian subsidiary AEL
Sistemas. The facility was built as
part of an avionics upgrade
programme for the Brazilian air
force's Northrop F-5s performed by
the Israeli company.

During the demonstration, pilots


were able to fly a Super Hornet and
F-5 together in a virtual Brazilian
airspace, with both participants also
having fired weapons at simulated
threats.

A human version of the classic arcade game Pacman, superimposing the virtual
3D game world on to city streets and buildings, is being developed by
researchers in Singapore.
Players equipped with a wearable computer, headset and goggles can physically
enter a real world game space by choosing to play the role of Pacman or one of
the Ghosts.
A central computer system keeps track of all their movements with the aid of GPS
receivers and a wireless local area network.

This unique experience certainly created a buzz and saw the running challenge taken every
minute over the four days of the Expo. Every performance was recorded, replayed on a big

18 Gesture-based 'Angry Birds on SMART TV

Samsung today announced plans to bring a gesture-based version of Angry Birds to its
smart TV platform. Samsung and Rovio have been working on the app since the end of last
year, and will launch it globally sometime this month. According to the manufacturer, this
version of Angry Birds incorporates the smart TV's motion recognition capabilities, allowing
gamers to fling onscreen fowl with their hands. Launching shortly after the app is an Angry
Birds animated series, which will be available on a video-on-demand basis. Samsung didn't
offer a precise launch date or price for the game itself, though it will be available via the
Samsung TV app store for anyone with an ES7000, ES8000, or ES9000 series smart TV.
