POWER SUPPLY UNIT
A Power Supply Unit (PSU) converts mains
AC to low-voltage regulated DC power for the
internal components of a computer.
Modern personal computers universally use
a Switched-Mode Power Supply (SMPS).
Some power supplies have a manual selector
for input voltage, while others automatically
adapt to the supply voltage.

ATX POWER CONNECTORS
ATX uses a single P1 power connector. The
connector has 20 or 24 pins.

4 - PIN MOLEX CONNECTOR
These are other, smaller connectors that go to
various disk drives of the computer. Most of
them have four wires: two black, one red, and
one yellow.
Molex 4-pin connector is used for IDE drives
Black wire is a ground, the Red wire is +5 V, and
the Yellow wire is +12 V

DATA CABLE
A DATA CABLE is a cable that provides
communication between devices.
For example, the data cable that connects your
monitor to your computer and allows your
computer to display a picture on the monitor.
Other examples of data cables include the
CAT5E, IDE/EIDE, SATA, and USB cables.
IDE
Short for Integrated Drive Electronics or IBM
Disc Electronics, IDE is more commonly known
as ATA or Parallel ATA (PATA). It is a
standard interface for IBM compatible hard
drives and CD or DVD drives.

SATA CABLE
The SATA cable is most often used with hard
drives but is also used with drives such as disc
drives.
FDD CABLE
FDD stands for FLOPPY DISK DRIVE.
Although most computers no longer use floppy
drives, the FDD connector is still present on
many motherboards.
The FDD connector contains 34-pins, and uses
a FDD ribbon cable to connect to a 3 " floppy
disk drive.
