a string
 What is string theory?

This theory studies after the event of big bang theory

describes all of physical reality
explain many of the fundamental questions about
our universe
To explain how particles are made:
For an example, consider a simplified case where the
extra dimensions are curled up in the shape of a donut

A string has two ways to wrap once around this shape:

A short loop around the tube, through the middle of the
donut Light particle
A long loop wrapping around the entire length of the donut
(like a string wraps around a yo-yo) heavy particle
- length translates into mass
