Classic Reports
A classic report is a program that generates a single list, which must contain all of the
required detail information.
Using ALV, We can have three types of reports: The list layout can be chosen
Simple Report as ALV Classic display or ALV
Block Report Grid display.
Hierarchical Sequential Report
SAP List Viewer can be used to view both single-level lists and multilevel sequential lists.
Single-level lists contain any number of lines that have no hierarchical relationship to each other (e.g. Asset
Balances RABEST_ALV01).
Multilevel sequential lists consist of any number of lines that have two hierarchical levels. Multilevel lists have
header rows and item rows; the item rows are subordinate to the header rows. For each header row there can be
any number of subordinate item rows (e.g. Asset Transaction List RABEWG_ALV01).

Flexible Analysis
Flexible analyses allow you to evaluate any SAP data structures and can be used for ad-hoc
analyses.
The comparison of planned and actual data plays a vital part in the decision-making process. For
this reason, the information systems give you the option of entering planning data, in addition to
retrieving and aggregating actual data.

2. SAP Query offers users a broad range of ways to define reports and create
different types of reports such as basic lists, statistics, and ranked lists.
3. These outputs can include lists on screens in table format, ALV grids,
downloadable spreadsheets, and downloadable flat files. The internal report
generator creates an ABAP program corresponding to the definition of the list.
Quick Viewer
Quick Viewer is a Report Generating tool. Quick Viewer has been designed for users
with little or no knowledge of the SAP programming language. It generates simple
reports as per business need, without the need for any ABAP coding. It is quick and
easy to use tool for quick collection of data from SAP ECC system.
2. Quick Viewer only creates Basic List while SAP Queries also have capability to create Statistics
and Ranked lists.
3. Quick Viewer do not require Infosets for their generation as we can specify data source
explicitly while SAP Queries does.
