increase in greenhouse gases contributed by human activity. What have PWC done? PWC have been measuring and tracking PWC carbon footprint at the Kuala Lumpur office in the following categories since year 2010: SCOPE 1 :Direct emissions Emissions from vehicles under PwCs control. SCOPE 2 : Indirect energy emissions Emissions from electricity consumed within the office deemed to be within PwCs operational control. Scope 3 : Other indirect emissions Emissions relating to paper use, business related travel, electricity transmissions and distribution losses, and base building emissions. Steps taking by PWC to lessen their impact on the environment: Use of technology to work cross borders, without the travel. PWC recycled 30 tonnes of paper in KL office from 2007 to 2013 Most of our waste is made up of paper and ink cartridges and these are recycled. Use of recycled paper for Human Capital letters, which includes offer letters. Decreased in paper usage after implemented a new printing system which monitors each individuals usage since 2012.
