PATHFINDER CLUB
Youth Ministries Department
GC Youth Ministries Pathfinder Club has more than
2 Million members in over 100 countries around the
world today. It has earned recognition at the the UN to be
one of the fast-growing youth leadership organization.
The Pathfinder Club curriculum has
six (6) levels and nearly 250
Honors waiting to be
accomplished lies at the heart of
the program.
The following objectives can be
achieved as the club leaders seek
to fulfill these for thier members:
The PATHFINDER Philosophy
General Conference of SDA Youth Ministries
-Pathfinder Club is committed to
understanding young people's needs and
training them for effective leadership and
active service to humanity.
The Pathfinder Club can be a school-based
or church-based holistic youth activity
program designed for kids 10 to 18 years
of age irregardless of belief, affiliation,
religion, creed, or color.
Pathfindering appeals to this age group
because it's program features significant
activities that meet student needs and
develop individual skills and interests that
will be beneficial in their future.
Pathfinders help the young people to
understand that God and this school
love them, care for them, and
appreciate them.

As Pathfinders are accepted and affirmed

they will begin to appreciate the love of
God revealed upon them eventually, the
need to be more committed to and get
involved with its program will come
naturally.
Much of the Pathfinder Club program is built
around physical, mental, social & spiritual
needs.
The youth from 10 to 18 years of age are in a
fast-growing stage of development which is
capable of accumulating vast knowledge and
understanding through demonstrated club
programs and training.
It is filled with purposeful action, nature
discovery and adventure, team building
activities, mental challenges, and spiritual
awareness.
It provides opportunities for the development
of right attitudes and skills that produce
personal growth, team spirit and a sense of
loyalty and respect for God, His creation, and
to fellowmen.
While the Pathfinder Club exists primarily for
the youth, one of its basic purposes is to
also bring parents, teachers, and club
members together through active
involvement in all programs set by the club
director or the particular school year.
Here, the so-called generation gap vanishes as
young and old work, learn and play together
in a bond of common experience.
Meaningful relationships are forged as leaders
and counselors join with Pathfinders in
sharing, building confidence, and working
and finishing together as a team.
The whole philosophy of
Pathfindering is built on the
premise that "children learn best
by example, rather than precept."
As they see leaders and parents
model spiritual and social values,
they too will aspire to develop high
moral principles, loving and caring
attitudes, & determination to excel
in all their various pursuits and
ambitions in life.
Pathfinder Stewardship Training

Pathfindering encourages students to

discover their own God-given
potentials and to use these gifts and
abilities to fulfill God's work for them,
eventually taking a big part in the
great plan of God's redemption to
those who wants to accept JESUS as
thier personal savior.

by uniting them together in various
outreach activities.
